O My Love,
As radiant as the day I first laid eyes upon thee.

On
Our wedding day,
As radiant as the day I first laid eyes upon thee.

On

As radiant as the day I first laid eyes upon thee.

Track Name: Estrella
The nights are cold there.
The days are warm.
And still, we go there,
Estrella War.

Estrella, Estrella, Estrella, Estrella

First time, no last time, and times in between,
Memories and reveries call to me.
Songs of Love and songs of War and songs of Peace,
Estrella, your reverie haunts me.

Estrella, Estrella, Estrella, Estrella

The wind, it blows there,
O'r fields of War.
Brave warriors, go there and seek
What life is for.

Estrella, Estrella, Estrella, Estrella.

First time, no last time, and times in between,
Memories and reveries call to me.
Songs of Love and songs of War and songs of Peace,
Estrella, your reverie haunts me.

Oh, oh

All year awaiting
One week of War,
Anticipating
Nights 'round the fire singing Oh,
Singing Oh,
Singing Oh,
Estrella

Singing Oh,
Singing Oh,
Singing Oh,
Estrella

Estrella,
Estrella,
Estrella.
Track Name: The Talon And The Crescent
The Talon and the Crescent are fighting on the field.
With clashing and with clanging, bring your sword and be your shield.
Huzzah, Huzzah, good nobles, Huzzah!
What a lovely day for a festival, Huzzah!
Track Name: Héloïse
Héloïse writes and waits
For her love to return for her someday.
The loneliness ebbs and flows in waves.
Says she, "'Tis a small price to pay."

She cries, "Oh, oh my love," She cries, "Oh, oh my love.
My love, oh. Oh, oh."

Héloïse wears no ring.
Héloïse wears not a thing,
Except old habits and ball and chain,
And the hope that he'll return for her someday.

She cries, "Oh, oh my love," She cries, "Oh, oh my love.
My love, oh. Oh, oh."

Héloïse, oh aren't you cold,
While to this phantom, you so desperately hold,
And seek in the void echoes of the past?
Oh Héloïse, how long can your hope last?

She cries, "Oh, oh my love," She cries, "Oh, oh my love."

Héloïse, to the present return,
Oh Héloïse, though for him you still burn.
He holds no passion for you,
And there's nothing, nothing your letter can do.

And all these years silence lie between,
And not a whisper of him have you seen.
Put down your letters. Drop the quill.
While there's life left to be living still.

But she cries, "Oh, oh my love,"
She cries, "Oh, oh my love."
She cries, "Oh, oh my love,"
She cries, "Oh, oh my love,"
She cries, "Oh, oh my love,"
She cries, "Oh, oh my love.
My love, oh. Oh, oh."

Héloíse writes and waits
For her love to return for her someday.
The loneliness ebbs and flows in waves.
Says she, "'Tis a small price to pay."
Track Name: Silver And Gold
Silver and Gold are not mine to give,
Yet for my love, I've only to live.
Cares he not for a sundry of things,
Gilded coins and numberless rings.

Silver and Gold are not mine to give,
Yet for my love, I've only to live.
Cares he not for a sundry of things,
Gilded coins and numberless rings.

Silvery sweet he says is my voice.
Golden my heart, for his own is my choice.
When cold grow the days with no finery worn,
From silvery snow will gold fire keep us warm.

Golden though be it, the sun soon does fade.
So short is the time when a girl is a maid.
But fear you, I shan't O Winter, you Crone!
I'll come and sit gladly on your silver throne.

Silver my hair will grow when at last the sun does fade.
Gold will my love see, in myriad shades,
For color is of no use at vision's end.
'Tis memories of silver and gold we shall tend.

Silver and Gold give no love at the last.
What use are these to those who have passed?
But my love and I shall into our final rest
Carry silver words and golden love and know ourselves blessed.

If I shall outlive you, my lover, my friend,
Then I will be there with you at Winter's end.
A golden shroud I'll weave for you from memory of life,
And two silver kisses I will place upon your eyes.
Track Name: The Dragon Bride's Tale
Lords and Ladies, gather 'round
Colette the Bard has come to town,
Towing and extraordinary tale.
I've journeyed forth from fair Caid,
That my story you may heed.
At my frightening words, try not to pale.

I tell you I have met a devil, ridden on its back,
Smelled its breath and felt its frozen scales.
I've seen its jagged razor teeth and met its eyes of black,
And still survived to share with you my tale.

As a bard my heart I trust,
And give in to my wanderlust,
And go wherever my feet choose to fly.
Seek adventure, that I must
And always have vociferously
Shunned a hearth and home, a quiet life.

Never in my wildest dream would I have thought my ways
Would lead me into peril such as this.
Never would I dream that I would fall into its blaze,
Fall victim to a dragon's fiery kiss.

Traveling through the mountains yon,
I discovered at the break of dawn
A heavenly music floating through the air.
Fearing it would soon be gone,
I traced the music o'r and on
And fell upon a sleeping dragon's lair.

It's sleeping hum entranced me so, and common sense did flee.
I sat amidst its silver and its gold.
The moment that I did so, it awoke and circled me
In its claws, its claws so terrible and cold.

"Womanling, how can you dare
To come inside a dragon's lair?
Don't you know we feast upon your type?"
I closed my eyes, to cries did give,
And wondered at what punitive
Atrocity might soon end my life?

The dragon seemed bewildered as I wailed my Woe Is Me.
I felt its evil claws relax and fall.
"Very well, I'll let you live, if here my wife you'll be,
And never again go outside these halls."

I gathered up my bravery,
Consented to this slavery,
Was dressed in silk and diamonds all white.
We said our vows, and my voice shook,
And 'round my waist his claws did hook.
He drew me in, his grip growing tight.

"Will you not now kiss your groom? For I have spared your life."
I shuddered, kissed his snout, tried not to cry.
"My dear," said he, "so happy you have made me, I could fly."
Threw me on his back, and took off through the night.

As we flew out o'r the sea,
My courage I then gathered me,
Released the spike that up 'til now I held.
For free or dead I'd rather be
Than forced a wife in tyranny,
And as I fell in darkness, the beast yelled,

"Should I ever find you 'gain, your death, it will be mine.
This vow that you have broken now is done.
I will not be generous, we meet a second time.
Every challenge taken, I have won."

So lords and ladies, there's my story,
Not of conquest, not of glory,
But to say that dragons still exist.
Be leery of the mountains far,
Or better yet, stay near your hearth,
If your life you are determined to live.

As for me, I travel still, my lesson not to heed,
Hiding away from my wayward groom.
Now my story's at an end, there's nothing left to say,
For on this page I have run out of room.
Track Name: Caid's Crescent Lands
I have traveled near and far all across the Knowne World.
Yet still my heart hungers for Caid's moonlight shores.

O Caid, oh my friends,
O Happiest of Knowne lands,
Together mighty may we stand
For Caid's Crescent Lands.

O my Queen, look on us, Your people, with love.
We'll carry far Your name through Knowne World and beyond.

O Caid, oh my friends,
O Happiest of Knowne lands,
Together mighty may we stand
In our Queen's able hands.

O my King, proud and true, Your people look to You
For strength and courage, peace and grace, for all Caidan race.

O Caid, oh my friends,
O Happiest of Knowne lands,
Together mighty may we stand
In our King's able hands.

Now my journey leads me home to the Crescent Shores.
Never may I leave again the heart Dear Caid.

O Caid, oh my friends,
O Happiest of Knowne lands,
Together mighty may we stand
For Caid's Crescent Lands.

O Caid, oh my friends,
O Happiest of Knowne lands,
Together mighty may we stand
For Caid's Crescent Lands.

Together mighty may we stand
For Caid's Crescent Lands.
Track Name: My Lover Left Me For A War
My lover left me for a war
In a battle far from home.
And now I cry evermore.
My lover left me on my own.

And I, I cry.
My tears make a mournful sound.
And I, I,
I wish I were there with him 'neath the ground.

My lover left me in the spring
When the flowers were around,
And on his return, he promised a ring.
He kissed me and my heart was bound.

And I, I cry.
My tears make a mournful sound.
And I, I,
I wish I were there with him 'neath the ground.

September then January, cold as ice.
No word from my love, though the battle's long o'r.
His very own life, he sacrificed.
My lover left me for a war.

And I, I cry.
My tears make a mournful sound.
And I, I,
I wish I were there with him 'neath the ground.

And I, I cry.
My tears make a mournful sound.
And I, I,
I wish I were there with him 'neath the ground.

I wish I were there with him 'neath the ground.
Track Name: While The Night Is Young
O land where snow will rarely fall,
And yet the wind blows cold.
Here amongst us, warriors all,
We toast to battles old.

For fight we shall at morning light,
Our Coffin and Star to defend.
And so we sing and drink tonight,
Our last as mortal men.

So lift your glass to revels past,
For winter nights are long.
And follow me twixt Valkyrie
To sing this final song,
While the night is young, is young.

Pour out the mead, for gods are we,
Who laugh in the face of war.
Tomorrow we will merry be,
or else will breathe no more.

So lift your glass to revels past,
For winter nights are long.
And follow me twixt Valkyrie
To sing this final song,
While the night is young, is young.

Come man, come maid to comp'ny keep,
And share in this winter delight.
For at dawn must tenderness sleep,
As side by side we fight.

So lift your glass to revels past,
For winter nights are long.
And follow me twixt Valkyrie
To sing this final song,
While the night is young, is young.

O brave berserkers share with me
A draught from my own glass.
Think only of fine company
And toast to warriors past.

For fight we shall at morning light,
Each man, each woman, all.
And should our spirits from body take flight,
We will toast in Valhalla's hall.

So lift your glass to revels past,
For winter nights are long.
And follow me twixt Valkyrie
To sing this final song,
While the night is young, is young.

So lift your glass to revels past,
For winter nights are long.
And follow me twixt Valkyrie
To sing this final song,
While the night is young, is young.

While the night, while the night is young.
Track Name: Pack Up, Ye Hearty Lads
For Potrero we've waited a month or more.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, we're going to War.
Come all ye Caidans to what we live for.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, wear going to War.

Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai
Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai

Tell your boss where it is that you go,
And what he might think of you, you don't want to know.
If in contests of nerdiness you want the high score,
Tell all of your friends that you're off to the War.

For Potrero we've waited a month or more.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, we're going to War.

Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai
Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee lad alai ladalai

Finish your garb, don't sleep for a night.
Break your sewing machine, give up the fight.
Wear your new garb for a trip to the store.
Tell all that you meet that you're off to the War.

For Potrero we've waited a month or more.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, we're going to War.

Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai
Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee lad alai ladalai

Pack up your tent, there's still room in the car.
Fighters, pack armor or you won't get too far.
Bring your whole wardrobe and sleep on the floor.
Camping's made easy when you're glamping at War.

For Potrero we've waited a month or more.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, we're going to War.

Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai
Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee lad alai ladalai

Bring your purse, your silver and gold.
Caidan merchants are many and bold.
But practice frugality, don't spend anymore.
You don't want to be left broke two days into War.

For Potrero we've waited a month or more.
Pack up, ye hearty lads, we're going to War.

Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee ladalai ladalai
Lalee ladalai, ladalee ladalai
Ladalee lad alai ladalai

Finish your poems, finish your songs.
You don't want to disappoint your adoring throngs.
For free entertainment is what we come for.
Throw in some free alcohol and then you'll have your War.

Track Name: On Starkhafn Soil
The dust blows across the way.
The heat pushes through the day.
Oh barren land, what oasis do you hold?
Your sun shines down on Starkhafn soil.

Brave warriors cross the desert
To defend the Crescent flag,
Banners in the dust storm, flying high,
And the sun shines down on Starkhafn soil.

O Elspeth, O Baroness,
With your wisdom, your barony bless.
Michel Philippe, your men and women lead,
And your love shine down on your barony.

Starkhafn, O Desert Jewel,
Oasis in the sand,
Your glory shines brighter than the sun
That shines down on Starkhafn soil.
May the sun shine down on Starkhafn soil.
Track Name: The Pewter Ring
There sits and artisan,
A caster of pewter.
In her hand, she holds a ring.
Heart of service,
Largesse maker,
Bringing honor to Queen and King.

How could she know then
How far it would travel,
From her hand, from the land of Caid?
Token of friendship,
Token of favor,
A symbol, a circle, a ring.

And the ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round
And never shall it be
O, but beauty.

I am a poor bard,
A traveling song maker,
And it is my joy to sing,
That I may honor them,
The bards gone before me,
And join them, in their circle, in their ring.

And the ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round
And never shall it be
Less than beauty.
The ring goes 'round from hand to hand,
From bard to bard and land to land,
The ring goes 'round and 'round,
And never shall it be
O, but beauty.

He knelt before me,
This singer of legend,
From further than I have ever been,
And into my hand he pressed
A circle of pewter.
From one bard to another passed the ring.

And the ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round
And never shall it be
Less than beauty.
The ring goes 'round from hand to hand,
From bard to bard and land to land,
The ring goes 'round and 'round,
And never shall it be
O, but beauty.

Inside, the inscription,
The name of the artisan.
O, how wonderful that fate might bring
The story full-circle,
The ring to its homeland,
Bringing to our community unity.

And the ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round forever,
The ring goes 'round and 'round
And never shall it be
Less than beauty.
The ring goes 'round from hand to hand,
From bard to bard and land to land,
The ring goes 'round and 'round,
And never shall it be
O, but beauty.
Track Name: The Quest For The Elixir Of Life
Dying was our Baron, lying on the ground,
Life seeping away from him, quickly heaven-bound.
At his side, our Lady Baroness, face contorted in a frown,
Said, "Love, what would you have of me?"
He answered, "Bring me coffee from the town!"

Lalalala, lalalala,
And he answered, "Bring me coffee from the town!"

And so our Lady Baroness called her ladies nigh.
She took her silver and her gold, bid her love goodbye.
She made no sigh of protest; 'twas the duty of a wife
Of a strong and noble baron
To search out the Elixir of Life.

Lalalala, lalalala,
To search out the Elixir of Life.

Her mount, it was a hybrid of great mileage and great speed,
With room to seat a dozen maids, a fearless noble steed,
But with no knack for navigation, and they quickly lost their way,
Wandering through this foreign land, their hearts laden with dismay,
When out of the corner of her eye, she saw looming to one side
Of the road a fearsome, snarling beast, arrows bristling in its hide.
Great metal-coated mandibles, teeth powerful and foul,
It dropped it jaws and raised its claws, shrieked an eardrum-splitting howl.
But our Baroness, such a beauty, need only look into its eyes.
It heaved a sigh and settled down, completely mesmerized.

Lalalala, lalalala,
And the dragon, by her beauty was mesmerized.

The dragon now behind them, they continued up the road,
And as the son rose higher, they with worry overflowed,
When at last they met a farmer with his child and his wife.
Asked the Baroness, "Please tell us, where is the Elixir of Life?"

Said the farmer to the Baroness, "To yon Starbucks you must go.
'Tis not a great deal further, just continue up this road.
'Tis there you'll find a creature, a mysterious and great being,
A mage called a Barista, doing magic with a bean.
The Elixir, cream, and sugar that will cure your husband's ails,
Topped with whipped cream and a lid, in a Venti Holy Grail.

Lalalala, Lalalala,
In a Venti, In a Venti Holy Grail.

The Baroness did thank him, and continued on her way,
But lo, no Starbucks did she find. Did our Lady's resolve sway?
No, no, no, not ever, her quest she carried on.
But every fool she questioned said that Starbucks was just yon.
Then above her head, a Seven, glowing with unearthly light,
And there the coffee flowing free! What a blessed, blessed sight!

Lalalala, lalalala,
Oh Seven Eleven, a blessed sight,
Our Baroness returned to her husband's side.
He said, "Goodbye my ladylove, for now, alas, I die!"
The baroness only smiled at her husband's solemn frown.
She said, "My love, o you'll not die. Here's some coffee from the town!"

Lalalala, lalalala,
Here's the coffee, here's the coffee from the town!
