about
I first released this track to my patreon back in 2016 or so. I wrote it for a long-distance sweetie on Christmas day when I was missing her quite a lot. It's about looking out at the wintery world and being optimistic that we'd be together again someday, despite the distance.
How very apt for the current pandemic. I want very much to snug all my friends and to be with the people I love. I hope this lighthearted little Christmas song will cheer you up and give you hope for an easier future. <3
lyrics
Snow may not be falling,
But I'm always falling for you.
Christmas time may be calling,
But I feel Christmas whenever I get a call from you.
Lights on trees are twinkling,
But you are the light in my eye.
The cold through your coat may be seeping,
But just think of me, and my love will hold you tight.
And someday I will hold you in the Springtime,
And in Summer and in Fall, your hand will be in mine.
And when the snow falls in Winter,
I'll kiss you at Christmas time.
And someday I will hold you in the Springtime,
And in Summer and in Fall, your hand will be in mine.
And when the snow falls in Winter,
I'll kiss you at Christmas time.
And someday I will hold you in the Springtime,
And in Summer and in Fall, your hand will be in mine.
And when the snow falls in Winter,
I'll kiss you at Christmas time.
I'll kiss you at Christmas time.
